The New Year's Mumblings from the Chair
Dear Members,
First of all I would like to wish you all a successful Canal Card Collecting Year, a very enjoyable Card Meet and get-together year and lots of visits to parts of the canal network that you have not visited before.
I would like to say thank you very much to all the officers of the Circle for all the hard work you have all put in to help keep the Circle running smoothly.
But mainly I would like to say a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my friends in the Circle. Those that I have met, those that I have written to, those that I have yet to meet and those I have yet to write to.
Can I on behalf of us all wish a very special NEW YEAR to our members in the USA.
Just KEN again . . . Ken Parris

Note:
- the final line of Ken's "Mumblings" links quite well to the sentiments
in a note I received from Ken Wood, who wished to pass to Ray Hahn his sympathies
on the Sept. 11th attack. He also thanks Ray for a postcard. The comparison
with the "Morris Canal" and boats being hinged in the middle hopefully
means more to Ray than it does to me. . .
