Letter to the Editor

May I record my thanks to Circle members David Adam, David Blackburn, Roger Butler, Trevor Ellis, Kerstin Fletcher, Iris Pearce and Martin Thompson. They have helped me to catalogue BW's official cards. Yet, in the absence of records within BW, there are still lots of loose ends to tie up.

I have to say I'm mildly surprised that a body such as CCCC isn't the repository of definitive information about a key waterway card publisher. Nor do many members seem interested in the information. That's sad. While I wouldn't expect most collectors to get too excited about modern cards, what I believe to be BW's earliest cards seem to date from the late 1950s and must have historical appeal. It is these older cards which are the big mystery for me.

So is there someone amongst us who knows what BW published in the 1950s and 60s? I need to find out before I can hand over the collection of cards and its catalogue to the BW archive.
