Cardmeet 2001
Advance notice that next year's Cardmeet will be in West Yorkshire and will be based on the Calder and Hebble Navigation and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. I have decided that the weekend of 15/16/17 June would be OK, with an optional Monday to visit other places. By next year the restoration of the tunnel on the Huddersfield Narrow should be complete and there might be boat trips through it. The canal will be well on to complete restoration on the Yorkshire side. The Calder and Hebble (my local) has lots of exciting things to see including the new Tuel Lock at Sowerby Bridge (the deepest in the county). There is a new canal pub in Dewsbury which brews Canal No. 5 beer. (true)
