SIX NEW BW CARDS, MORE TO FOLLOW

At last, British Waterways' biodiversity postcards have been published. There are five in the set, each depicting a different cube of waterway habitat cut away to reveal the wildlife it can support. Print run was 6000, size 148x105mm.Copies of individual cards are available free of charge from BW offices but you'll have to hunt around to get all five versions. If you don't succeed, Malcolm Luty at BW's Watford office can try to find missing numbers for you.

BW Card No. SVC1 of
Standedge Tunnel - published 2002.

Because cards are printed in sheets of 16 designs, there was one blank space on the bio- diversity sheet (5 designs x 3). The space was filled by a card for Standedge Visitor Centre showing a view inside the tunnel. Copies are on sale at the centre and from some postcard dealers. Look out for more postcards from BW soon. On the stocks are two water safety cards, event cards for Leeds and Northwich and a set celebrating all the restoration schemes being completed (6-8 cards). Gongoozler will keep you informed.
