Mumblings of the Chairman . . .

It looks as if we are in for another great and very interesting card meet this year as once again our Organisers of our annual get together have come up trumps with lots of places for us to visit.

I just do not know how they do it, but would like to say thank you to all the Members that have organised or help to organise a card meet in the past. I can only think of one card meet that was a flop, the reason for that was no-one but me turned up. Why, I will leave to your imagination (I have had a wash since).

This year I see that we are staying in a French hotel in the middle of Yorkshire. That really tickles my Southern sense of humor.

But what I want to say is this. It can not be easy going around looking for places suitable for a large group of people to stay, as well as driving around to find lots of places where we can eat and get a drink. Also, booking transport to take all the people to see those prime canal sites that they have been scouring the countryside to find in the months before Card Meet.

I am looking forward to seeing you all again in Wakefield.
