More Mystery Cards

This quarter there are two further mystery cards for you to puzzle over.

This one again comes from Bill Manders and shows a river navigation rather than a canal, but there is no indication as to location on either the back or the front. There is no producer's name so it could be from a small local Co. The shape of the weir and the balance beams are both quite distinctive so this may help. The only thing Bill can tell us is that it is not the River Thames.

Has anyone any ideas on this card?

Postage on it is printed "Affix halfpenny stamp."

This card is submitted by Alan Pinder.

This is a coloured 'Real Photo' old card from which the photographic surface is flaking away; the card is rather dark and although there are a group of boys on the towpath and some buildings on the other side of the canal in the middle distance these are not easily seen in a photocopy. The coat of arms in the corner is of Wolverhampton and the card was posted in Willenhall, Wolverhampton, December 1906.

Can anyone help Alan with this?
